Louisiana Sheriffs' Scholarship Program Accepting Applications
The Louisiana Sheriffs' Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from graduating high school seniors seeking financial assistance for higher education.
Scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to eligible students from parishes participating in the Louisiana Sheriffs' Honorary Membership Program. The recipient will be selected by a committee comprised of the Vermilion Parish School Board and nonpartisan citizens selected by the Sheriff.
The scholarships are gifts, not loans, and may be used for tuition and related expenses at Louisiana institutions of higher education.
Eligibility Requirements
- Permanent Louisiana resident
- Graduating high school senior
- Plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student
- Attending a Louisiana institution of higher education
