On Veterans Day, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office proudly honors all who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Today, we salute the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our nation's veterans.
Many of our own deputies and staff members are veterans who have served their country with distinction before continuing their commitment to service here at home. We are honored to work alongside these men and women who embody the values of duty, honor, and integrity.
To all veterans in Vermilion Parish and across our nation: thank you for your service. Your selfless dedication to protecting our freedoms has secured the liberties we enjoy today. Your sacrifice, whether in times of war or peace, has not been forgotten.
We encourage our community to take time today to thank a veteran, attend a local ceremony, or simply reflect on the tremendous debt of gratitude we owe to those who have worn our nation's uniform.

As leaders of our community, we are dedicated to safeguarding all lives and property within Vermilion Parish, preserving order by pursuing violators of the law and promoting justice, to reduce crime and improve quality of life for our citizens. This agency shall display professional excellence and fairness in every encounter, treating every person with impartiality, as we execute our commitments to compassionate service and leadership by example.
