The Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office is responsible for the collection of ad valorem (property) taxes in Vermilion Parish.
Did You Know?
Louisiana Law mandates the Sheriff to collect ad valorem taxes within his parish, thereby making the Sheriff the “Ex-Officio Tax Collector.” The Sheriff collects the property taxes and then distributes them to the various taxing bodies within the parish.
